The aim of our network is to broaden access of genetic testing expertise to patients.
We essentially work at 2 levels:
Connecting laboratories with physicians in order to:
- Help identify the most appropriate test and technology
- Facilitate referral of patients to specialized centers
- Incorporate physician feedback to improve lab procedures
Interconnecting genetic testing laboratories, by sharing:
- Expertise at the variant-level content and data interpretations
- Infrastructure and referring specific analyses
- Quality control schemes and best practices for NGS
- Data for research
